History:
Current owners are the second owners of this car. It was originally sold by Minar Ford in Minneapolis, MN. Owners have original paperwork for the production and sale of the car and it is listed along with its history in the Shelby American Registry. The car was purchased in Minneapolis in 1990 from the estate of the original owner. The car was in poor condition and required an extensive 3-year rotisserie restoration by automobile restorer Robert Van Orden, of Minneapolis. The car was first shown in competition in July 1993, and as of today has won more than 135 trophies and other awards and has been featured in magazines, on calendars, and represents the 1969-1970 Shelby's in the Mustang 35th Anniversary Book, published in 1999. During the past year it was featured in the February, 2006 issue of "Mustang Monthly" and in an article in the May, 2005 "Motor Trend" introducing the new Shelby GT 500.
This car was exhibited at Caroll Shelby's Shelby American Museum in Las Vegas, NV in May 1999.
